Lifting Procedure

Once the equipment has been properly positioned on the lift, take a few moments to verify that everything is ready before raising it. A careful routine helps produce consistent, safe operation.

Before Raising the Lift

• Verify the equipment is centered on the tracks.
• Confirm the tracks are adjusted correctly.
• Make sure ramps and wheel stop bars are positioned as required.
• Apply the equipment's parking brake.
• Ensure no people or obstructions are within the lift's operating area.

Raising the Equipment

Operate the lift according to the procedures described in the current installation and operation manual. Raise the equipment only a short distance at first, stop, and verify that the load is stable and properly supported before continuing to the desired working height.

While Working

• Keep the work area clear.
• Do not exceed the rated capacity of the lift.
• Never allow unauthorized persons in the operating area.
• Follow the operating instructions supplied with the lift.

Lowering the Equipment

When work is complete, lower the lift in accordance with the operation manual. Verify that the area beneath the lift is clear before lowering completely and removing the equipment.
