Front vs. Side Loading

One of the most useful features of the Single Column UTV & Mower Storage / Service Lift is the ability to load equipment from the front or from the side.

The best method depends on the equipment being lifted, the available floor space, and the way the shop is arranged. Because the ramps are removable and may be installed in different positions, the lift can be configured to match the work area.

Front Loading

Front loading works well when there is adequate space to approach the lift in a straight line. Before loading, adjust the tracks so the center of the equipment's wheels aligns with the center of each track.

Front loading may be a good choice when:

• The equipment can be driven straight onto the lift.
• There is adequate clearance in front of the lift.
• The shop layout provides a natural forward approach.

Side Loading

Side loading can be especially useful when space in front of the lift is limited. For side loading, remove the wheel stop bars as required, position the side ramps to match the equipment's wheels, and adjust the tracks before loading.

Side loading may help:

• Reduce unnecessary maneuvering.
• Make better use of limited floor space.
• Provide easier access in tighter work areas.
• Adapt the lift to different equipment and shop layouts.

Before Raising the Equipment

• Make sure the lift is fully lowered before loading.
• Verify the tracks match the equipment's wheel position.
• Confirm the ramps are securely installed.
• Keep the equipment aligned with the tracks or bolster beam, based on the selected loading direction.
• After loading, apply the parking brake and reinstall wheel stop bars when required.
• Raise the equipment only a short distance at first and confirm stability before continuing.
