Electrical Requirements

Before installing the lift, verify that a suitable electrical supply is available at the installation location. Planning the electrical service before installation can save time and avoid unnecessary delays.

Minimum Electrical Requirements

115 Volt AC
20 Amp dedicated circuit
Single-phase power
Properly grounded outlet

Before Installing Your Lift

☐ A 115V, 20A, single-phase circuit is available.
☐ The circuit is properly grounded.
☐ The power source is located where the power unit can be connected without using extension cords.
☐ The electrical installation complies with local electrical codes.

Why a Dedicated Circuit?

A dedicated circuit helps ensure reliable operation and reduces the possibility of nuisance breaker trips caused by other equipment sharing the same circuit.

Grounding

Proper grounding is an important part of a safe electrical installation. If you are unsure about your electrical service, consult a qualified electrician before connecting the lift.

Plan Ahead

Confirm the electrical service is ready before the lift arrives. Having the proper outlet installed in advance makes installation easier and allows the lift to be placed in its final location without relocating electrical wiring later.
