Concrete Requirements
The lift is only as secure as the concrete supporting it. Before installation, verify that your floor meets the minimum installation requirements.
Minimum Requirements
- Fully cured concrete
- Steel-reinforced concrete
- Minimum thickness: 4 inches
- Minimum compressive strength: 3,000 PSI
- Maximum floor slope: 2 degrees
- ☐ Concrete is fully cured.
- ☐ Concrete is steel reinforced.
- ☐ Slab is at least 4 inches thick.
- ☐ Concrete strength is at least 3,000 PSI.
- ☐ Installation area is level and free of significant cracks.
Why These Requirements Matter
Fully Cured Concrete: Fresh concrete continues to gain strength as it cures. Do not install the lift until the slab has fully cured.
Steel-Reinforced Concrete: Reinforcing steel helps distribute the loads applied by the anchor bolts and improves the durability of the installation.
Thickness and Strength: The anchor system depends on adequate slab thickness and concrete strength to achieve a safe installation.
When in Doubt
If you are unsure whether your floor meets these requirements, have it evaluated before drilling any anchor holes. Taking time to verify the foundation is far easier than relocating a completed installation.
